Not this time, please

Having watched Roma commit footballing suicide against Inter at the weekend, it brought back nasty memories of the Champions League last year and THAT visit to Old Trafford. The Giallorossi go back again tonight. Please, boys, keep the head and don't make us a laughing stock like the last time.

On the other front, Celtic host Milan once again. Clearly, the Hoops will hope to meet the Rossoneri on the form they have been showing in Serie A - lacklustre, rarely victorious and without much luck. However, Carlo Ancelotti's men were devastating in their only other group game against Benfica. Which Milan will turn up? Only time will tell...

The BRN Scozia will be there in force tonight at Glasgow-all 31 of us!
as you say we really dont know which Milan we will get. Also it would be nice to have a little luck although my dad always says "fortune favours the brave" so maybe Carlo needs to be a little more ambitious. Two strikers maybe?Or has he concluded that Pippo and Gila cannot play togeather.
I thought Roma were very unlucky last night-deserved a draw in my opinion.

Roma were certainly a lot better than last time at Old Trafford! A share of the points might have been fairer but they still have every chance of getting through.

I think the chances of seeing Gila and Pippo together are next to nil unless Celtic take the lead and he is forced to play them together.

It was never going to be a battering like the last time. Roma should be kicking themselves. Certainly a point lost, maybe 3. Roma had their chances. Losing Montella (or not replacing him) doesn't look so smart now. I don't understand why Mancini didn't appear to appeal for the penalty. It looked like one to me. So, 1-0 to Man Utd, that is starting to have a familier ring to it.

One hell-of-a result for Rangers.

hopefully lazio can beat madrid, i'd love to see all the italian side make it pass the group.

Imagine a Lazio-Roma / Inter-Milan semi final pairing...

In my dreams, right?

I find Roma an interesting conundrum. On the one hand they play perhaps the most entertaining football in Italy but on the other hand they have trouble sticking the ball in the net.

I think, like Spalletti said, you have to take them as they are - attractive but a bit wasteful in front of goal.

Pat

I just cant see Lazio winning tonight but, then again, you never know.

a bit wasteful? a BIT? yeah, I am greowing used to it by now.. but it is deeply frustrating. ah well. and as for Lazio, I wish them only humiliation and misery.

I disagree with Spangly. I hope Lazio do well in the CL. Although of course were they to meet Roma it would be a different story and I hope we get further than them. I hope Inter fall on the foreign asses.
