A change of look

I thought it was time for a bit of a change as I never really liked the old look. Inspired by the confirmation that Cannavaro had been crowned Balon d'or - take that Frenchies - I finally found the energy to shift things around. I'd still like to customise it a bit more (especially the banner) but I'm not sure if my blogging skills are quite up to it. Anyone who has any advice it will be gratefully received.

Anyway, it is time to go and watch the second half of Brescia v Milan in the Coppa Italia. Yes, I am that sad...

How colourful it all is here. Messing with templates is fun, isn't it?

The old one was a bit too dull, maybe I have gone over the top in the other direction. Still, good fun as you say...

I like the new look, Ginkers.

And I like that the first thing I saw when I came to your blog today was that lovely picture of Fabio...

I must admit I have been surprised by the level of adulation Canna gets. If you had asked me four or five years ago who would have been the pin-up boys of Italian football two names I would not have given would have been Fabio Cannavaro and Rino Gattuso.

Still, shows you what I know....

Looking good Ginkers. If I give you access could you apply your blog makeover skills to mine?

Martino, anything as long as its green I presume?

Much nicer Ginkers - the old format was far too brown for my liking!

Don't you think maybe Henry should have won it instead? I mean, I am pleased for Fabio an all, but still, a bit too generous I feel.

I managed to change the colour of the outside of my box to blue but that's about all I can manage. I used to really like the colours on your old block on twentysix. You can do just about anything on blogger but it's all a bit too technical for me.

I like the new look(and Fabio as well, obv), it's all serfistickated and that (the blog not Fabio, I don't think anyone could accuse him of that).

You are right, the brown was a bad idea but I was young and foolish. Well, foolish anyway.

ACT

Henry? Are you 'aving a larf? He was a washout at the Mondiale apart from falling down clutching his face for no reason.

And I would like to get the old Italia flag back on the scene in some way.

Oh Spangly One

I hope the blog is more Maldini than Cannavaro - stylish, elegant and a bit hairy.

The problem with the timing of the Ballon d'or is that people seem to forget the performances of players throughout the whole season and only remember the world cup.

Oh I'd opt for a stylish, elegant and hairy Maldini style blog any day.

It's true, the big competition of the year does tend to overwhelm everything else. However, I don't think it's such a scandal as some have made out. In the end the player who plays the biggest part in winning the year's most prestigious prize has to have a shout of taking the prize.

Now if Zidane gets the FIFA player of the year that REALLY is a joke.
