Thank goodness, in their hour of need, Milan have called in the services of a 1950s B movie star to pep up their attack. To wit, The Giant GILA Monster (pictured)! He is slow, sluggish but strikes with deadly results.Watch out for his equally scary companions the Amazing Flying Pippo (apparently lightweight he never misses his prey), The Fleet Footed Kaka (his stealth and agility are legendary), The Lesser Spotted Pirlo (deadly, even from distance) and The Growling Gattuso (even his look is fatal).
As long as the Butter Fingered Dida, Wildy Impetuous Oddo and Bad Decision Brocchi don't interfere I can only see one result. Bring on Athens!

lol. watched chelsea-milan this morning. it had to be one of the most boring games and the one time i was glad to see penalties as there was more skill shown at the spot than on the pitch for much of the night.

Chelsea - Liverpool again provided a poor quality encounter. I don't believe that either side is particularly strong, Liverpool may be stronger than they were a couple of seasons ago when they won but they are still pretty average imo. But they always seem to prove me wrong, so they'll probably end up winning.
Hopefully Milan can get through and win it, it would be a great result for Serie A and really annoy the media who already have a Man United - Liverpool final down on their calenders...
Last nights Liverpool/Chelsea match was more horrifying than the Giant Gila monster. It was a shocker. Both teams were far too cagey, and neither side wanted to attack.
On balance Liverpool probably deserved it as they hit the woodwork, and had a goal mistakenly ruled for offside.
Chelsea simply choked. They couldn't string two decent passes together, and for once Mourinho got his selection wrong. Most of the Chelsea midfield went MIA. And, Lampard (the so called 2nd best player in the world :o)) is being seen as the medioche lump that he is.
I hope tonights match offers better fayre. It can't be any worse.
It was a poor, poor game that was all about tempo and pace and nothing to do with quality and class. The typical performance came from Dirk Kuyt who ran about like a man possessed for the whole match but never had the composure and skill to score a goal.
The only players who could have shown a bit of imagination were neutralised so effectively that there was nothing to get excited about. Chelsea looked a jaded team and Liverpool were the faster, fitter side. They deserved to go through on that performance.
My main hope is Milan are in a similar position to Liverpool - nothing to fight for in the league and able to rest up and be prepared for the Champions League. Then, revenge for Istanbul! Remember, say no to AEF (All English Final).
I'm probably the only one that thought it wasn't that bad then?
Or maybe I'm just comparing it to previous games between these two in the Champions League.
Please, Milan, please don't let us down this evening...what odds a Pippo Inzaghi goal in the 88th minute to win it?
On a completely different note, is Toni really going to Bayern, Ginkers?? Bit of a disaster for Italian football to lose the best striker in Italy to a German club... (more of a disaster to your club I suppose as well!)

It had a lot of blood and thunder but not a lot of football to my mind. But, as you say, compared to previous encounters where they averaged about a goal every three hours it wasn't so bad.

There seems to be a growing acceptance that Toni is going to go but I find it hard to believe his destination will be Germany. Be a bad day for Italian football to lose him. As for the Viola, once you've been to C2 and back nothing seems quite so painful. I hope you will be able to realise that soon...
